Venice
Having painted various architectural scenes of London I decided that I must go to Venice. So in September 2001 I went over there for a few days to photograph as much painting material as possible and to get a feel of the mood and full atmosphere of the place.
The challenge with Venice, being used to the British climate, is the light that is very much a part of the mood of the city. This is something I wish to develope over time in my painting!
